How to create a bot and turn on Guest Chat Mode

Before connecting a visitor bot, create a bot with BotFather, copy its token, then turn on Guest Chat Mode.

How do I create a bot and copy its token?

Open BotFather

Open Telegram and go to @BotFather.

Create the bot

Send /newbot, then enter the bot's name and username when prompted.

Copy the token

In BotFather's reply, copy the token shown below "Use this token to access the HTTP API".

How do I turn on the bot's Guest Chat Mode?

Open the BotFather mini app

Open Telegram and go to @BotFather. Tap Open in the bottom-left corner.

Go to Bot Settings

In the mini app that opens, choose Bot Settings.

Turn on Guest Chat Mode

Switch on Guest Chat Mode, then tap "..." in the top-right corner to close the window. That's it.

When you're done, go back to the Visitor bots page

Paste the token into TGEgg, then click "Check again". Once Guest Chat Mode is on, the yellow banner disappears.
